Privacy Policy

Your trust matters to us. Here's how we handle your data — no legalese, just straight talk.

Last updated: February 13, 2026

1. Information We Collect

When you use Generosity Catalyst, we collect information you provide directly and some information automatically:

  • Account information — your name, email address, organization name, and other details you provide when signing up or updating your profile.
  • Donor and relationship data — the contacts, notes, touchpoints, and other information you add to manage your donor relationships.
  • Payment information — when you subscribe to a paid plan, payment details are collected and processed securely by Stripe. We never store your full credit card number.
  • Usage data — general information about how you interact with the platform, such as pages visited and features used, to help us improve the product.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve Generosity Catalyst.
  • Send you touchpoint reminders, account notifications, and product updates.
  • Understand how people use the platform so we can make it better.
  • Respond to your questions and support requests.
  • Protect against fraud and abuse.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your donor information to train AI models. Your data is yours.

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides enterprise-grade PostgreSQL infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS everywhere, secure authentication, and role-based access controls.

While no system is 100% secure, we take reasonable measures to protect your information and continuously review our security practices.

4. Third-Party Services

We work with a small number of trusted third-party services to operate Generosity Catalyst:

  • Stripe — processes payments securely. Stripe's privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data.
  • Supabase — provides our database and authentication infrastructure.
  • OpenPanel & PostHog — privacy-focused analytics tools that help us understand product usage (see Cookies & Tracking below).

We only share the minimum information necessary for these services to function. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

5. Cookies & Tracking

We use privacy-focused analytics tools that respect your browsing experience:

  • OpenPanel — a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics platform. It helps us understand how people use the product without tracking you across the web.
  • PostHog — used for product analytics and feature usage tracking. PostHog can be configured to operate without cookies and we prioritize privacy-respecting configurations.

We do not use advertising trackers or sell data to ad networks. If you prefer, you can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings or our consent banner.

6. Your Rights

You have control over your data. Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction — ask us to update or correct inaccurate information.
  • Deletion — request that we delete your account and personal data.
  • Data export — receive your data in a portable format.
  • Opt out — unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@generositycatalyst.com. We'll respond within 30 days.

7. Data Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we're required to retain it for legal or compliance reasons.

Anonymized, aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained for analytics and product improvement purposes.

8. Children's Privacy

Generosity Catalyst is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make meaningful changes, we'll notify you through the platform or by email. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
